What can I say, it is a great product. Performs at all levels and creates great boat response. The Oar Saddle is designed to be taken anywhere with ease. We flew them out for our moose float and a neighbor portaged the boat with the saddles attached for a 1/4 mile, thrown overhead like a canoe. He had two other guys and a 52" moose plus gear and said the system worked great. I really like the design because of the ease of set up and take down for the day trips that are most of my outings. Everything can be handled quickly and easily by myself. Greg Scully - Early Summer Float on the Eagle River, AK

Since we’ve started using the Oar Saddles on our watercraft, I have stopped using traditional rowing frames altogether. The cost of this product is negligible when a boater finds himself in need of reliable gear, and in the places we go to pursue our river adventures; there is no time for “woulda, shoulda, coulda” with gear selection. From my experience, the more you need it when you don’t have it, the worse the personal regret and the performance. I give this product a 10+ rating on the Wilderness X-stream™ scale. We carry it on our site because the Oar Saddle compliments our inflatable designs and helps us maintain a quality edge." Larry Bartlett, President of Pristine Ventures, AK

I'm always looking for a better, lighter piece of equipment for our hunting expeditions. One day I stumbled across the Oar Saddle on the Internet. It didn't take much discussion to realize this was going to be a far better option than rowing frames, given our 9 mile portage from the nearest airstrip to our chosen river in Alaska. Installation on our new Aire Traveler rafts was easy and the Oar Saddles performed flawlessly. With proper raft inflation, they are remarkably rigid and rowing was a breeze. At the end of our 14 days of hunting in the wind and rain we pulled hard for two long days covering many miles of river. After all was said and done, the Oar Saddles showed no sign of wear and didn't put as much as a mark on our rafts. Good Hunting! Dale Humphrey, IL

I wanted to let you know that the Oar Saddles worked extremely well for Dale and I. Strapping them on to our Aire Travelers took maybe 15 to 20 minutes at the most. Being of light weight material was great since we had to carry them for 9 or so miles to our starting point. The river had a lot of dog legs and sweepers and I was amazed the way the raft handled and maneuvered around the river. Rowing forward while hunting and pulling on the oars when you wanted to pick up speed -- and speed we needed because we had two days of hard rowing to meet our pickup plane. While watching my GPS, it was no problem to get 7 to 71/2 miles per hour in speed. I was pulling on those oars hard for a long time and the Oar Saddles held up super! Thanks for the great product and good rowing to you. Al Duckworth, MI

| My Oar Saddle certainly allows me to save weight and space during logistical moves to and from the rivers, but I was not expecting to have the power and control that it provides! Cross-current and upriver maneuvers are a reality because of the direct transfer of energy through the Oar saddle to the oars. The secure and adjustable design allow easy handling even with heavy, expedition loads. The Oar Saddle has become a permanent part of my river gear. With the advent of the Oar Saddle, the rowing frame has become all but obsolete! Marc Taylor, Alaskan Author of "Hunting Hard...In Alaska!" Truly a must read for any avid outdoorsman! | Simply put, the Oar Saddle is the best, non-motorized means of propulsion I have found for my inflatable boat. In my experience, even though kayak and “T- Handle” canoe paddles have a smaller “footprint” when compared to the Oar Saddle, they both require much more physical exertion and movement, especially under heavy cargo loads! The Oar Saddle enables me to conserve more of my energy for the purpose of which I’m float-hunting in the first place (hunting). I consider my Oar Saddle an essential piece of float hunting gear just like my weapon, boots and binoculars. The Oar Saddle is absolutely worth every dime of its purchase price. It is indestructible, super light-weight and portable. Thanks Rocking “R” Designs for a useful and great product. William Dean, ID |
