A lightweight rowing frame, the Oar Saddle was born from the concept that there is a need
for an extremely lightweight, portable rowing frame geared to the back country adventurer,
the white water rafter, or the individual that just wants to take a boat trip down the local
river.
Inflatable Rafts, Kayaks, and Catarafts
Boats are very diverse in their design, shape and use. Many designs have evolved into
wider dimensions to create a more stable boat. At the same time, inflatable partitioned
floors have become popular, enabling the rafts to maneuver in shallower water and carry
heavier payloads. Most of these water crafts float high off the water and are very
maneuverable. While you can use a kayak or conventional paddle in most of these boats,
using oars gives you maximum control and propulsion. This is the basis for the Oar Saddle
design concept.

above all-usable. The Oar Saddle, by Rocking R Designs meets all those requirements.
Lightweight and portable, the Oar Saddle is a rowing apparatus designed for rugged use in
normal to extreme conditions and environments. A pair of Oar Saddles weighs in as light
as 7 pounds. They can be strapped onto the side tubes of your boat in minutes, or
removed and stacked--or dissembled and nested like two potato chips--for easy shipping.
We Have Done Our Homework!
We field-tested many designs and prototypes before developing the market's smallest
rowing frame that works with a variety of inflatable boat sizes and styles. While still focusing
on a compact design, we sought to provide a product that generates the highest level of
